We did it again together with the Pogórze Ultra Trail Association! On 15 October 2022, Strzyżów hosted a night run through the streets of the town. The public, the participants and the weather were all in favour, and our glow in the dark medals received a number of enthusiastic reviews. Would you like to take a look at them? Strzyżów is a small town in Podkarpacie region, located in the picturesque Strzyżowsko-Dynowski Foothills, 30 km from Rzeszów. In order to take advantage of the specific microclimate and location of the city, a group of sports enthusiasts organised the Pogórze Ultra Trail mountain run in July, which received a lot of publicity in the running world. Over 300 competitors took part in the summer PUT run, and Modern Forms supported it by making awards and gadgets for the participants.
Following the blow, the organisers in October launched another run – the Night Run of St Michael – patron saint of Strzyżów. Thus resuming a running tradition that was interrupted seven years ago. As a manufacturer of sports and commemorative awards based in the Strzyżów district, we were keen to take part in the preparations for the run and became a partner of the event.
What could the participants expect?
We have prepared 210 pieces of irregularly shaped medals for the participants. The design refers to the moon and the wings of the Archangel Michael. The award features the city’s coat of arms and the name and date of the event. The overall colour scheme was black and white. Bearing in mind that the run took place at night, we made sure that the medals shine. The white elements were covered with fluorescent film, which gives off a glow in the dark when exposed to light. The medals were hung on sublimation tapes with an imprint referring to the design of the medal.
In addition to the medals, we also prepared 46 trophies for the winners in the various categories. The main panel was made of black steel with 3D UV printing. The motive of the design was based on the medal – the moon, wings, the name and date of the event, and the PUT logo. The metal panel was set in a wooden base in black with a personalised inscription distinguishing the categories.
Participants and supporters also received 270 fridge magnets as a practical gadget to commemorate the event and encourage participation in the next edition.
