The most important thing is motivation and answering the question: why do I want to start running? There can be many reasons: to lose weight, to look after your health or to take part in competitions and win running medals. Why start running? The benefits of running

Running is a great and inexpensive physical activity that can have many benefits. It is a good way to build fitness and overall physical endurance. excessive weight – too much excess weight combined with running can lead to joint strain and frequent injuries. Don’t throw yourself in at the deep end. If you want to lose weight, gradually increase the distance and intensity of training,
cardiovascular diseases – before starting your running adventure consult your doctor and ask if your ailments allow you to train and how often you should train,
joint problems, joint diseases, injuries – do not necessarily constitute a contraindication, but it is best to consult an orthopaedic surgeon,
asthma, diabetes, pregnancy – running is an individual matter. In the case of diabetes, running can help improve tissue sensitivity to insulin and improve health. However, running during pregnancy and with asthma should be consulted with your doctor.

Decalogue of a beginner runner

Get tested – if you are unsure if you can run, see your doctor and get some basic tests done.
Find a specific goal – e.g. running a marathon, improving your wellbeing.
Take care of your running gear – you don’t have to invest in expensive gear and gadgets right away, but comfortable running shoes are a must. Breathable clothing for different weather conditions could be another purchase.
Start with small steps – if you’ve spent the last few years on the sofa in front of the TV, set yourself small goals and reward yourself for achieving them. Set a training plan and be systematic.
Don’t get discouraged after the first failures – it’s certain that you will lose your breath quickly during your first workouts and will have to take frequent breaks. So start by walking and slowly increase the effort and length of the route.
Find your ideal time – find out if you run better in the morning or in the evening.
Eat and drink sensibly – when running, you should pay attention to what’s on your plate. Your diet should include fruit and vegetables, protein and complex carbohydrates. When you run, your body loses a lot of fluid. Remember to replenish the loss and drink 2 litres of water every day.
Don’t skip the warm-up and stretching – start by warming up your muscles and finish by stretching – this will help you avoid injury and significantly reduce soreness.
Diversify the running surface – try not to run only on asphalt. Running on a forest or field surface is more comfortable for your joints.
Love running – running is really fun and you can get to like it. Ask yourself – don’t I know someone who runs? – They are always full of energy and smiling. Maybe it’s because of their passion for running that they are a happy person.

In recent years cycling has become a very fashionable and relatively inexpensive sport among amateurs. Cycling is a sport for everyone. You do not have to be a professional. All you need is a bike and a bit of free time to enjoy this healthy passion.

With the growing popularity of cycling, there are more and more competitions and bike races in the spring and summer season. And where there are competitions and rivalry there are prizes. Most often they are cycling medals or statuettes, which proudly present themselves on a shelf or a medal rack for cycling enthusiasts.

The most important cycling races

The Tour de France is a multi-stage, three-week cycling race, held in France since 1903. The great prestige of this event is connected with its long history ( it is the oldest race), tradition, scale of difficulty (stages in mountainous terrain in Alps and Pyrenees, the so-called royal stage of the Tour de France) and the power of the media. Taking part in the French competitions is every rider’s dream.
The Tour de Pologne is a multi-stage cycling race organised cyclically in Poland. Like the Tour de France, it is also a prestigious international event that has been organised since 1928. The route of the race is about 1200 kilometres leading across the whole country from the north to the south. The race does not have a fixed route – every year organisers change it, so that the competitors can get to know as many corners of the charming Poland as possible.
Giro d’Italia is a multi-stage cycling race held in Italy since 1909. The race is held every year in May. The competition in Italy takes place mainly on the territory of this country, but there have been cases when the beginning of the competitions started in another country.
La Vuelta a España is a cycling race organised for the first time in Spain since 1935 (it has been held continuously since 1955). The competition lasts three weeks and is divided into several stages: flat, mountain and those of medium difficulty. The course profile is not the easiest. There are a lot of hills, which means that the Spanish competition is often won by specialists in bicycle climbing.

World Cycling Championships

The World Cycling Championships have been organised since 1921. The first was held in Germany. A time trial was added to the championship programme in 1994. A mass start race for amateurs was held between 1921-1995. The winner – the rider with the title of champion – received the so-called rainbow jersey as a symbol of victory.

Cycling as a Olympics discipline

Cycling has been on the programme of Summer Olympics since 1896. Originally the competition was for men only, but in 1984 the Los Angeles Games saw the first time women’s road cyclist event. In the following years new disciplines were added in which women already participated. The Olympic cycling programme consists of: the mass start and individual time trial in road cycling, the sprint, the team sprint, keirin, omnium and team pursuit in track cycling, the cross country race in mountain biking and BMX race. Currently all disciplines are held for both women and men.

Facts and myths about cycling

Many interesting myths and rumours have arisen around cycling. Some of them may be funny. Others are sure to surprise those not involved in the sport. Here are some of them.

Cyclists always have smooth and shaved legs – riders usually shave their legs so as not to expose themselves to extra pain when changing a bandage. And accidents are not hard to come by in this sport.
Cyclists eat a lot of pasta – pasta is a source of complex carbohydrates that slowly release energy into the body, so the rider has the strength to pedal longer and feel full,
The bike won’t tip over while riding – a bike let loose on its way out without a rider, will ride on its own until it loses speed.
Bicycles do not need to have lights at the front or rear – cyclists are not obliged to ride with their lights 24 hours a day. However, they must have reflective elements, e.g. on bicycle accessories or clothing.

It's false

Cyclists must wear black shorts – cyclists can wear shorts of any colour. However, black shorts look the most aesthetically pleasing and are often chosen by riders.
Wearing a bicycle helmet causes your head to overheat – the helmets use polystyrene sponge, which is also used as part of the construction of portable fridges, plus the helmets have ventilation holes that allow your scalp to breathe.
Cyclists have disproportionately grown legs – regular cycling does not grow legs. It is the muscles that become more flexible and the body sculpture will improve.
You can’t ride a mountain bike on the road – unless you are a professional rider it doesn’t matter. A mountain bike is suitable for riding on any surface.
A bicycle cannot be insured – insurance companies provide insurance for both the bicycle and the cyclist.

The face masks are designed to perfectly fit your face and adjust to its shape. Stoppers enable us to fit the mask to your head (or to tie the straps together) – they do not drop while dynamic motion, so you do not have to adjust them or tie many times.

Recently, the event industry and sports organizers have faced truly unprecedented challenges. The decision to postpone the events, months and years into the project, could not be easy, but it was necessary. In Modern Forms, we want to rise to the occasion and the challenge, which is why we would like to offer you our support, experience, and help.

During the last few days and weeks, our Customers have flooded us with news about postponed or even canceled events. Questions raised – how can we deal with this difficult situation? As a result of direct discussions and brainstorming sessions with you, our Trusted Partners and Customers (thank you so much for that!), we started to work on new solutions immediately. We are so glad to see that most of you don’t give up, creating a virtual version of your events (see example below) or continuing preparations with unspecified dates and details. As always with Modern Forms, the key to the entire proposal is a personal approach to your problems. We believe that tailoring the offer is the best way to go, especially right now, when the industry has to face previously unknown problems on a global scale.

We also want to assure you that Modern Forms is fully operational and – as always – at your disposal. We introduced appropriate procedures early on, thanks to which we were able to maintain uninterrupted operational readiness. Below you will find some examples – for the sake of inspiration.

Date modification – in this case, the project with the specific date was already approved. We proposed two solutions – modification of the date or preparation of an additional element, which allowed any date to be added later on.
No event date at all – a situation we face most frequently right now. We provided peace of mind and organizational readiness. With universal visual design and detailed guidelines ready at hand, we are ready to press the green button at any time.
Change the numbers at any time – no date, only estimated headcount, no organizational certainty – that means every penny counts. For the Customer, we have prepared a tailor-made design and produced rewards for the people already confirmed. At the same time, we guarantee the option to order the next batches in any numbers, even 10 business days before the event!
Virtual events – something truly awesome. We were at the advanced stage of the process, deadlines and designs already approved. Due to the situation, we created graphically modified, virtual design, so that it can be awarded during an online event.
